I went into this film knowing it would probably be dumb. I'd seen some fairly funny looking trailers though, so I figured it would be okay. Unfortunately, it's one of the least comedic films I've seen in a while.

The best part was the corny intro. It showed a 70's show depicting an event of government cover-ups of aliens. It had some really cheesy effects and costumes and everything.

Well, after that, we get to the real plot. We have J (Will Smith), a delinquent MIB agent that thinks he knows everything and keeps erasing his partner's memories. He ends up getting his old partner, K (Tommy Lee Jones) back again when they find out that a powerful alien has surfaced that wants a piece of jewelry that will destroy the earth.

The evil-doers are really lame. You've got a kind of brown Venus flytrap wannabe that flips through a magazine until it finds an ugly looking Victoria Secret's model. It changes its appearance to match the chick and runs around flaunting its sexuality. She (Lara Flynn Boyle) gets a sidekick with no brains and two heads. If you want to see some enemies of equal or even slightly superior intelligence, watch an old Power Rangers. The characters "Bulk" and "Skull" were better actors.

Okay...so, the bad chick sneaks into MIB HQ and flashes her chest at an agent. Then she takes over the entire place by producing a bunch of vines. The MIB people put up no resistance. Uh, these guys are the experts on this kind of thing and they don't do anything? Hello!? Where's the plot!?!?

Anyway, J falls for a chick he talks to for maybe 10 minutes. He can't bring himself to nuke her memory, so he says he'll do it some other time. Later on, when we find out she's an alien that must return to her own kind, we listen to him grump some. It's kind of implied that she might be child of K here, but I may have misinterpreted.

The Good Stuff:

There are some pretty cool looking aliens in here

The special effects weren't too shabby.

The Bad Stuff:

Lots of cleavage and stuff along those lines...

Crude language and swearing abound...but not as much as in the previous movie...at least, not that I can recall.

Dumb Stuff:

STUPID plot!!! Very formulaic..

Bad acting

Boring jokes...

Impossible scenes for the universe that was invented here...

Lot's of repetitious lines for K. ("Still a rookie")

I didn't care for this movie. It had too many dumb things in it. Special effects do not a good movie make. Watch something else.
