If you want to see a funny Jackie Chan movie with some cool fight scenes and some really oddball stuff thrown in, then this is the flick for you! Jackie plays an archeologist similar to "Indiana Jones."

We begin with Jackie entering a cavern or buried ancient city. He finds some giant emeralds in a place of worship and starts to take one when he realizes he’s being watched. This scene is great. You have to see it. I’m not going to spoil it for ya!

Suffice it to say, he leaves the temple and then the credits roll. Soon we discover that he has another mission. Some rich bureaucrat working for the U.N. wants him to look for some gold bullion that was buried by some German officers during World War II in the Sahara. They give him a fancy key and tell him that he has to work with a lady, named Ada (Carol 'Do-Do' Cheng), whom knows the desert.

Jackie ends up finding a relative of the general that buried the treasure and he sneaks into her house. There are a couple of embarrassing scenes with the chick and a short but cool fighting sequence.

Next Jackie goes to a key expert. This guy tells him about what the key could do and Jackie leaves and confronts some people that were shadowing him. Another quick fight goes into motion. Then there’s a nice long car chase. A bunch of Mitsubishis chase Jackie on a motorcycle. A couple of stunt people look like they hurt themselves, but it’s hard to tell.

Right before Jackie heads for the desert, the general’s relative, Elsa (Eva Cobo), shows up and begs to go too. (Check out that cool car she drove! You won’t see that thing on the streets anytime soon!!!) We watch as they travel through many different terrains until they get to a hotel with a sick innkeeper. There’s some interesting stuff here. Watch out for some brief nudity though!

Well, they leave and find a girl that’s on a sojourn. Her name is Momoko (Shoko Ikeda) and they pick her up. She’s probably the coolest chick in the entire movie. (She has a pet scorpion, Ding Ding!) Anyway, their camp gets attacked at night by some desert bandits and the other two girls are taken. Thus, Jackie must free them. He stops them from getting auctioned off by "buying" them himself.

To cut this short, Jackie finds another temple that’s above the military base that holds the Nazi gold. There’s a really funny scene with some "bloodthirsty" natives…keep your eyes peeled! Then we go into the fort and a bunch of evil bad guys who’d been following them also come in. If you like fight scenes, then this is what you’ve been waiting for! Whoohoo! Even the girls get into it!!!

Eventually, they get captured though. And the gold is obtained from a neat vault. The boss of the bad guys, Adolf (Aldo Sambrell) ends up with a mutiny on his hands. He ends up locking his men in the vault with the gold and Jackie ends up stuck in a wind tunnel with his two mutinous henchmen. There’s a cool wind tunnel fight that makes you wonder how they thought it up and accomplished some of the flying effects.

The girls try to free him, but accidentally hit the self-destruct button. So now they have 20 minutes to get out. Adolf helps them escape, but stays behind. This is the one scene that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Somehow, Jackie et al ends up with some gold. How’d they get it when all the bad guys are in the vault???

They escape, duh!

The Good Stuff:

Momoko and DING DING!
All the fight sequences!
Watch for the recurring idiot sheik-type bad guys.

The Bad Stuff:

The nudity…
The violence is…probably not good for young children…
Innuendo…

This movie rocks! It’s got some neat choreography, great action and plenty of humor throughout. Buy it if you like Jackie Chan or action movies in general!!!
