It's an old sci-fi flick!!! And it's kind of weird. We begin with some narration and we see various people that also see UFOs. The UFOs look okay, but they're nothing spectacular.

Dr. Russell Marvin (Hugh Marlowe) and his secretary/wife Carol (Joan Taylor) are the heroes. They see a UFO when it dive bombs them on their way to a military rocket base. Dr. Marvin was busily flirting with his wife while trying to record his latest findings. He ends up taping the sound of the ship.

Well, needless to say, whoever they mention their sighting to don't believe them. Of course, they're smart enough not to tell just anyone.

Anyway, the spaceship lands at the base a day or so later and we foolish humans immediately shoot at it, so they destroy the base. I should mention here that Carol's father (a general or something) has told them that all their satellites have disappeared and the general ends up getting taken by the spacemen!!!

Russell tries to convince the higher-ups of what happened, but they are skeptical. That quickly changes when Russell sneaks off and visits with the critters. They want to talk to him and they communicate with him through an aerial. Of course, his wife, a cop and another general/admiral follow him and all four end up in the spaceship.

To make a rather dull story short, let's just say that the aliens need a new home and want our governments to give us one. We hate that idea and since we're given 50+ days before the next meeting, we decide to build an ultra-sonic weapon.

Thus, we do that and kick some alien tail.

The Good Stuff:

The acting is acceptable...

Interesting UFO effects by Harryhausen...

The Bad Stuff:

Russell marries his secretary and he is made out to be a womanizer of sorts.

Typical storyline

Too predictable.

It's an okay movie, but it's not exciting. If you like Harryhausen movies, then you'll probably like this one too.
