Whoa! This is a really silly movie! However, it’s quite funny and pretty harmless overall. As anyone who has seen the previews or read the cover knows, the story is about dogs and cats warring with each other.

Our hero is a beagle puppy named Lou (Tobey Maguire). He gets help from some agents, which are some other dogs. They're names are Butch (Alec Baldwin), the leader, Peek (Joe Pantoliano) and Sam (Michael Clarke Duncan), I think. You see, it’s Lou’s job to protect his master, Prof. Brody (Jeff Goldblum)  from the cats because his master is trying to invent a cure for dog allergies. Unfortunately, Lou wasn’t supposed to be the one that was to protect him. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Oh well.

Anyway, we see a bunch of villainous cats try to beat up Lou and get into his master’s lab to destroy the man’s work. The cats' leader is Mr. Tinkles (Sean Hayes (I)). He is very well voiced and quite funny.

Well, I don’t want to ruin any more of the plot. There are some surprises, such as the Russian cat (Glenn Ficarra), but for the most part, it’s pretty predictable. I’d write a lot more, but I think covering the high points is enough as I don’t want to spoil the show.

I enjoyed this movie. It was funny and it had a fairly uplifting message of overcoming the obstacles. Besides, it was about dogs kicking the cat’s tail and I can’t think of anything better! HAHAHAHA!
