Burn-Up W
File 1: Skin Dive
English Dubbed Version
Released: 1995 (?)
Version: Video (ADV)
Approx. Rating: R (nudity, some swearing, innuendo, skanky clothing)
Length: Approx. 35 minutes
This show looked to have an interesting premise. A lady is in a hotel or business building and gases everyone. Then four idiots tie everyone up and make STUPID demands for the hostage's release while the lady and her cohorts go test some kind of virtual mind drug on VIPs.
Too bad the show isn't very good. It's main character, Rio, is a homicide detective with a bust so disproportionate with the rest of her body that, it's a wonder she can walk upright. She grumps a lot and swears too. Anyway, she's stuck doing paperwork with a dopey cop that she strings along by pretending he is her boyfriend.
There's another girl who is a sniper and she also is well-endowed. You end up seeing a lot of cleavage as she grumps about not being able to shoot anyone.
Both ladies (and I use the word loosely here) are part of the WARRIOR team, which seems to be an extreme version of our S.W.A.T.
They end up getting called in and they stop the baddies, but only after Rio does a nude sky dive / bungee jump combo.

Yes, I did watch the second episode of this stupid series. If this one is better than the first episode, it's only just barely. At least this time we have a song and shots from the series to begin the show, unlike the first episode. Unfortunately, the beginning shots are awful. They have nudity and enough naughty views to make you want to chuck the blasted thing.
The show isn't much better. The plot goes something like this: There is an avatar out in space that is cute, perky, and her name is Maria. The men love her. You can think of it as some kind of virtual sex...which is hinted at later on with another avatar. I'm really not sure what this one is, but she is missed when she vanishes.
The cops are forced to treat the program's disappearance as a kidnapping. It turns out that she was downloaded into a robot's body, naked and well-endowed, of course. She doesn't like that as she's supposed to be cute, but the other naked robot with more reasonable sized breasts is not ready for Maria. Argh!
There is another robotic woman in this one that kills people. She's some kind of armored robot body-guard and her master is the evil lady from the first episode. Her voice-acting is lousy, so be prepared to grind your teeth.
There is one new character in the show and she is some kind of robotics whiz. When we're first introduced to her, she bends towards the camera and stays in that position for a good 15-30+ seconds. No animation, just a voice-over. Blatant sexuality pervades.
The Good Stuff:

While Maria (the virtual idol) is annoying, she is also kind of naive and funny |

Lots of shots that focus on female anatomy even at the dumbest times. |

Once again, I do not recommend this for young viewers. I don't think anyone in their right mind should get this for comedy's sake either. The only reason to watch it is to see dumb girls with guns prance around in tight-clothes or no clothes and if that's what you like, go get some help!
