What an anime! This movie/OEM is cool!!!! However, I’ve heard that it’s even better in the sub-titled version. Whichever, it’s still good dubbed. I recommend you catch it! There are only two episodes and they’re both on this video.

We begin with our title character, Mink (a dragon half) watching some kind of show with a dragon killer. The killer is named Dick Saucer. He’s Mink’s hero and "love" interest. She’s a teenager. Anyway, as she watches, a guy backs into the room battling a red dragon. We soon find out that these are Mink’s parents and that’s why she’s a dragon half: half dragon, half human…

The scene shifts to a king and his advisers. They are discussing Ruth, a great knight/swordsman (and Mink’s father) and how he defied the King’s orders to kill the dragon. Now he wants Ruth dead so he can take his wife…yeah, he wants to marry a dragon! A magician/soothsayer named Rozario comes into the scene with a bunch of dry ice and tells the King he has a plan.

Back to Mink. She’s chatting with her friends, Pia and Lufa/Rufa? Pia has a new Dick Saucer CD (yes, he’s a singer too!) and they’re discussing a concert of his that they really want to see. Rozario hears this and sets a trap with a Dick Saucer concert ticket. Mink almost falls for it, but she thinks it’s someone else’s ticket and decides to leave it there. Rozario thus shoots her in the back with three poison darts.

The King and Rozario think she’s dead, but she awakens and gets ticked. The King appeases her with a concert ticket and she leaves. She finds out that it’s a fake ticket though, and ends up fighting Vena, the King’s daughter and the president of the Dick Saucer fan club. Vena is also a black sorceress. Mink manages to kiss Saucer after being hit through a wall…and then she’s told by Vena that Saucer would never want a dragon girl because he’s a dragon killer. So Mink leaves in tears…

The best fighter in the kingdom is summoned to get rid of Mink by the King. He’s called "The Great Damaramu." This is one of the funniest characters in the show…but then again, they’re all very funny!

Well, Mink ends up discussing her plight with her friends and they end up going to look for "the people potion." It makes other creatures into a person. While they’re hunting, they run into Damaramu (and his mount, Roshi!) and battle him. He yanks a light sword from his brow and in the end he impales himself because of Mappy, a mouse that can get really big and who is Pia’s pet.

The last major scene is where the King and Saucer are discussing a red dragon. The King sends Saucer off to slay it after telling him that it disguises itself as a little girl: AKA Mink.

On to Episode 2. Dick Saucer is singing his theme when he comes upon the three girls. He does battle with Mink, but doesn’t finish her off because his chest starts beeping! He has to get to a concert!!!

The King and Rozario plan on tricking Mink into signing up for "The Brutal Killer Martial Arts Tournament" so that she’ll die. They manage to accomplish this at the airport…just watch it!

We find that Saucer, Vena and Damaramu have all entered the tournament too. Rozario disguises himself and tries to get Mink to take a "Stamina Drink" which is really Ex-Lax. She takes it and gives it to Saucer. Saucer drinks it because she’s a fan and ends up losing the first battle in the tournament.

Rozario thus sends a trained bug out to sting Mink when she gets into the ring. The bug can stun people with his sting…so Mink ends up getting kicked around by Damaramu. However, since Damaramu is so stupid, he shoots a missile into his own robotic Roshi and blows himself out of the ring, thus making Mink the winner.

Vena gets beaten by Duk Finn, the son of a warlock. However, she beats him over the head in a really funny scene.

Now Mink must beat Duk Finn. Finn claims that Mink was plotting to assassinate his father and finds out he was wrong. Well, he fights her anyway and shoots many fireballs at Mink. Finn ends up destroying a lot of the coliseum in the process, but he doesn’t really hurt Mink much. This ticks him off, so he yanks a giant sword from his head and starts swinging it around too. He ends up hacking Mink’s top off and that makes Mink embarrassed and very angry. She charge the warlock and smashes his sword and sends him into the lava, thus becoming the winner!

The Good Stuff:

The characters are endearing and very funny.
The plot is kind of disgusting, but it’s definitely a well-thought out plot.
The battles are cool and choreographed well!

The Bad Stuff:

There’s too much swearing!
Yow! Skimpy clothing, naked chicks that are cleverly covered up, and we see Mink’s teats at the end!!!
Yeah, there’s sexual overtones throughout…
And witchcraft is evil…

Weird Stuff:

Mappy
Lena the Slime Half…watch her tale of woe…
The alternating art styles: From normal to Super-Deformed and back again…it happens constantly. You won’t see anything like this elsewhere…at least, I haven’t.
The Credit’s song: "My Omelet."

I really enjoy this anime. It’s funny and bizarre. At least give it a rental!
