We see SpaceGodzilla (Ryo Hariya) in space as it travels toward our planet. What a shocker! It makes one shiver in one’s seat!! Anyway, we watch as Japan readies itself by getting a robot known as Moguera (Wataru Fukuda) ready to kill Gojira (Kenpachiro Satsuma). Unfortunately, this new menace becomes more important. Thus they send Moguera out to do battle with the monster. They barely harm the thing before sustaining major damage. Supposedly they lose all control, but Moguera somehow shows up later in the movie with no explanation on how they got it back to earth.

Meanwhile, we watch as some G-Force fools, Lt. Kiyoshi Sato (Zenkichi Yoneyama)& Lt. Koji Shinjo (Jun Hashizume), go to an island that has another G-Force guy (named Major Akira Yuki, played by Akira Emoto) that’s obsessed with killing Gojira. Also on the island is "Little Godzilla" (Little Frankie). We watch as Yuki et al set up traps and what-not for Gojira. We also see the little Gojira act cute and set off some of the traps. Yuki wants to shoot Gojira with some blood-coagulant to kill it. Somehow he learned of a weak spot on Godzilla.

Before Godzilla arrives though, a Dr. Chinatsu Gondo [Towako Yoshikawa] (who is one of the creepiest looking Japanese actors I’ve ever seen!!) shows up with Miki Saegusa (Megumi Odaka) and Dr. Susumu Okubo (Yosuke Saito) . They work with G-Force too and they’re there for "Project T". They want to control Godzilla telepathically. Thus, when the G-man shows up, they shoot some kind of receiver in his back and then use Miki to try to control him…as they do this, Yuki runs around trying to shoot the G-man with his coagulant. Dumb! Anyway, Miki controls Gojira for a little while using an amplifier device, but eventually, it shorts out and the equipment is ruined.

Soon thereafter, SpaceGodzilla flies in and attacks the little Gojira. This makes Godzilla’s gorge rise and he tries to save it. However, Space-G knocks Gojira down and then picks up Little Gojira with some flashy lights and sends him mewing into some crystals that wrap around it. Then Space-G flits off.

For some reason, Miki and the two G-Force guys stay on the island while Yuki, Dr. Gondo, and Okubo head off for the G-Force base…I think.

The next interesting thing that happens is that Miki is kidnapped and her guards are beat up. The beating up part is lame…watch and laugh!

Somehow, they figure out that the Mafia did it and Yuki and the two G-Force guys go to rescue her. Amazingly, they also know exactly where she’s being held captive. We get to see Miki tied to a stretcher with the weird doc. He seems to have turned evil. (I told you he was a creepy looking dude!) He wants to control Gojira for the power…Anyway, he raises a small satellite dish and the good guys somehow jump onto the roof and slip in through the hole in the roof that the dish made. There’s a quick shooting match inside and we get to see Miki float!

While all this is happening, SpaceGodzilla is approaching. There’s a really stupid scene in a casino that you all need to see. Watch a fool try to get some dumb stuffed animals out of a machine. He fails miserably, but when Space-G flies over, the animals just start falling out! If anyone has ever looked at one of these things, they’d realize that this is quite impossible! HAAHAHAHA! (FYI: Space-G makes machines malfunction by flying near them.)

OK. Miki is rescued, and as they leave, we see the doc talking to himself as he works on his screwy equipment…then Space-G flies over and it explodes. Weirdness!

Well, Yuki et al go to take Moguera out to kill Space-G. (Makes sense to send a robot against something that screws up machines, right!? Yeah, I thought so too!) As they go there, Yuki decides to detour and attack Gojira, who is also heading for Space-G, but he’s a few miles away. The other G-Force guys don’t like that because it’s against orders and they knock out Yuki. They then attack Space-G and do a fair job of it. They make him bleed, but they get knocked over and lose pretty much all functions including the boosters. (Yes, the booster part is important…you’ll see.)

Yuki conveniently wakes up now and wakes up the other two who somehow got knocked out. (If they were violently knocked out, it wouldn’t matter how much Yuki yelled, but this is Toho, so who cares!?) Yuki tells them to use the boosters and they amazingly work now! Whoohoo! And they manage to fix everything else that’s wrong with the machine too…Gojira has arrived now and he and Space-G are having at it. Thus, we end up with Gojira and Moguera attacking Space-G. (Somewhere in here, we see Space-G fly around without his normal crystal back-support and we also see some flying crystals that eventually attack the G-man.) They all come to the same conclusion that Space-G is powerful and he must draw his power from one of Japan’s towers. Thus, they all try to destroy it…Moguera splits in half and one half goes underground and the other flies. Gojira just attacks the tower straight on. With all three attacking it, it falls over. Then Moguera reforms and they use some spiral-missiles to blow off Space-G’s shoulder crystals.

Then Moguera gets severely damaged again and they lose everything again. The G-Force guys bail, but Yuki stays behind. After riding around in the still-functioning elevator (in Moguera), he goes back to the controls and smacks the buttons until it lifts off and flies into Space-G. WOW! Miki and the Okubo run up and watch as the G-force dudes hunt for Yuki in the wreckage.

Somehow they realize that Gojira is radiating energy and Space-G is absorbing it. If you put 2-and-2 together, it must mean that Space-G will explode! Yow! Take cover! Before this happens though, Miki uses her telepathic abilities to look through her boyfriend’s eyes and help him free Yuki, who’s hung upside down within Moguera.

Now, Gojira gets ticked and all of a sudden his fire breath gets red and more powerful. He quickly kills off Space-G and there’s a HUGE explosion.

All the principle players escape unharmed, including Gojira, of course. As Gojira walks into the sea/sunset, we see a couple of odd scenes: Yuki (or one of the other G-Force guys) runs along the harbor shouting at Gojira. The chick claims that Space-G was a warning…but from what or who!?!? Oh well.

The Good Stuff:

Miki & Okubo
The special effects were kind of cool.
Little Gojira!

The Bad Stuff:

Oi! Lots of swearing for a Gojira film!
The fighting, I guess…
Those weird confusing scenes and the lame-o, slightly inconsistent plot.

This is an okay entry in the Heisei series. But there are better ones. If you like ugly flying Gojira rip-offs, then you’ll think this movie is the bomb!
